Stars 40 under 40 Awards – Nominations Due
South Shore Women’s Business Network has signed on to be a nominating partner for the 2011 Stars 40 Under 40 Awards. These awards are seeking to identify leaders in all sectors of the South Shore economy including education, technology, visual and performing arts, banking/finance, real estate, construction, retail, entertainment, food service/restaurant industry, health care, human services, government, law enforcement, media, telecommunications, marketing, and others.
About Stars
With forty years of experience, Stars (formerly South Shore Day Care Services) is one of the state’s most respected early education and youth development community-based organizations. Throughout the year over 1200 children, ages 2 months to 16 years, attend our family child care system, 3 preschool centers, 8 school age centers, middle school program, high school program and summer camp. They are committed to serving a diverse population, with an emphasis on supporting low-income parents and at-risk children.
Stars has 3 nationally accredited preschool centers are located in Quincy, Randolph and Weymouth. Our 29 family child care providers are located in Braintree, Holbrook, Quincy, Randolph, Weymouth and Whitman. Their school age programs are located in Abington, Quincy, Randolph and Weymouth. Our 8 week summer day camp is located at Hale Reservation in Westwood. They provide year round care and support for working families including information, referral, and advocacy, as well as emergency assistance for basic needs.
SSWBN is hoping to help Stars reach their goal of 300 nominations by June 30. We hope you will consider nominating your friends, family, clients or colleagues. The nomination deadline is Thursday, June 30, 2011, and the Awards event will be on Friday, September 15, 2011.
