Dedicated to the success of our members through Contacts, Coaching and Collaboration – our mission.
Dear Members and Colleagues,
On May 6th more than 80 people joined the Communication Revolution with SSWBN at our 2010 Professional Development Day. From the results of the survey that we sent immediately following the event, it is clear that many participants walked away with, as one put it, “a very long to-do list.” Others got inspired that they can now start to integrate their social media elements with their website properly, as a vital part of their overall marketing program.
Thank you for participating and for sending us the fabulous feedback. The event was a success and we are starting to plan for SSWBN’s 2011 Professional Development Day. Contact me if you are interested in participating on the team to create this fabulous day!
As always, my goal is to provide our members with Contacts, Coaching and Collaboration.

Be the Elephant in the Network
When you are an elephant, you have power, wisdom and respect. In his recent book, Be the Elephant. Build a Bigger, Better Business, Steve Kaplan attests that if you are not growing you are dying.
The same goes for our own businesses. “The trick is to become an elephant — big enough to make a difference, healthy enough to withstand financial currents, strong enough to influence your market — smart enough to avoid the pitfalls of growth,” he writes.
Partners and Sponsors of the South Shore Women’s Business Network are elephants for sure. They are building businesses that are as big as they want it to be. They understand Mr. Kaplan’s 5 Principals of Success, as they utilize the Network to implement the third of these principals, “Expand Your Network.”
Are you ready to “Be the Elephant”? If so, contact me to discuss ways to leverage your membership in the Network to create more visibility and opportunity to expand your network.
As always Let me thank our very own SSWBN “Elephants:”
