A message from the President

Welcome to the South Shore Women’s Business Network (SSWBN)!  Our mission is to provide our members with the support they need to succeed in business.  We provide the coaching, contacts and collaboration you need.
Coaching:  Our  Professional Development Team (PDT) puts together a year long schedule of events that will help you develop the tools you need to succeed.  We held a day long event in May that helped
members to understand how to use social networking to their best
advantage.  We offer educational  workshops and some are run by our members. These are an
opportunity for you to share your expertise with members, whether it be how to
eat healthy, how to minimize stress or how to write an effective business plan.  As a member, you can help others with your knowledge and also allow others to get to know who you are.  We do business with people we know, like and trust.  This is just one of many formats where you will be given that opportunity.

Contacts:  SSWBN offers our members choices for how to meet other professionals.  Are you an early bird?  Come to our breakfast meeting at 7AM and listen to some inspirational speakers.
Come to a lunch meeting  on the South  Shore.  Join us at one of our After Hours meetings or one of our special events like the annual golf tournament.  Participate in our blog, find us on Facebook and Linked In. 

Collaboration:  Are you an interior designer looking for realtors to send you some business?  Do you need to locate a bank that will give you a small business loan?  Not sure who to turn to when you need to come up with a logo, t-shirts or a catchy tag line?  The best thing about this network is that you
will find a group of people who are willing to help you in whatever way they
can.  If you commit to showing up at the events and letting other members know who you are and what you do, you will always get the most value out of your membership.

I want to thank those in our network who make it all look
easy:  Our staff, Katie Howard, Gerri Presby and Michelle Lathrop; our Board of Directors, our Partners and Sponsors, our team members and team chairs; and most importantly our members.

This year, the SSWBN is celebrating its 20th year.  We are celebrating by helping four charities.
We want our members and their businesses to be integral parts of our community,
giving back to the community that supports us.
I am honored and excited to be your President for a second consecutive
